Welcome to the Burgess Family Web Site
This is a web site for my "Burgess" Family which so far appears to be predominantly a New South Wales Australia Family so far - But that is only back to 1830's long after Australia was settled.
Some of the Birth, Death and Marriage certificates have Burges with only one S - maybe the party filling out the form was unaware of the extra S or maybe we couldn't even spell our Surnames - who knows?
However when I get back to William Burgess some of the children have "garnet" Burgess as the surname however The mother's surname was "Fidden" so it is a little confusing as to where this comes from.
